| Conconcreto is committed to sustainable construction Conconcreto, as a Platinum Founding Member, is part of the Colombian Sustainable Construction Council (Consejo Colombiano de Construcción Sostenible (CCCS)), an organization that groups all companies, entities and professionals who work nationwide for the transformation of the construction sector in order to make it sustainable. Among the main objectives of the CCCS are to lead the union of agents interested in the development of sustainable construction projects, managing cooperation agreements to acquire best practices in the industry and to contribute to the development of a sustainable building culture. What is Sustainable Construction? It is a practice used to increase the efficiency in the way constructions use energy, water, and materials at the same time that they reduce the impact on its inhabitants and occupants health and the environment. The main goals of sustainable construction are to reduce the constructions´ impacts on the environment, to improve the communities´ quality of life and to improve users´ health, guaranteeing cost reductions on operations and minimization of resource consumption. What does being a Platinum Founding Member mean? - We are part of the Colombian organization that brings clarity, coherence and leadership in sustainability for the construction sector.
- We play an active role in the elaboration of policies and outlines for the sustainable construction in Colombia.

Making part of this organization ratifies Conconcreto´s commitment to environmental responsibility, respect for the sustainable development of the ecosystem and the search to implement best practices to do good use of natural resources. | Las Palmeras Corridor
The Consortium CC - MP - HV Palms, in which Conconcreto takes part as an associate, executes the contract for the development of studies and designs, social, estate and environmental management and the improvement of the Las Palmeras Corridor project that is part of the Complimentary Arterial Corridors for Competitiveness Program (Programa Corredores Arteriales Complementarios de Competitividad). The construction process initiated in September, 2009 and it is supposed to be finished by September, 2012. This Corridor is located in the departments of Meta and Guaviare, on the Fuente de Oro-San José del Guaviare route, between Los Almendros and the capital of Guaviare. To this day, the Consortium has delivered the studies and designs of sectors 1, 2 and 3, which have been approved by the Inspectors. At the moment, sector 4 is under revision. Some construction activities have been developed also. The purpose of the Complimentary Arterial Corridors for Competitiveness Program is to consolidate an articulated and efficient transportation network with suitable levels of service and capacity that will facilitate passenger mobility and the connection between production and consumption centers and foreign trade corridors. This will also help the different regions in becoming more competitive and productive.

Conconcreto and Durapanel are building the 30th Street Comfenalco Antioquia Cross-sectoral Services Project, which encloses a Clinical Centre with a 20.000 sq. meter area and a Medical Tower with 10.000 sq. meters of building space. PH Bonyic
Bonyic Hyidroelectric Unit is located northeast of Panama Republic in Bocas del Toro Province, near the limits of Panama and Costa Rica, 14 kilometers away from Changuinola´s urban area. This project is made of a 30 MW Hydroelectric Central, a dam with a 900.000 m3 area of useful capacity and a 1.4000.000 m3 total volume, a 37 m high reservoir, a superficial machine room and a 115KW simple-circuit transmission line that is 11 KM long between Bonyic and Changuinola. | Sonesta Hotel opening After investing nearly 10 million dollars and 7-months work, the Sonesta Hotel was opened in Valledupar. Conconcreto was in charge of its construction, management and promotion. This new hotel is located next to Guatapurí Mall. Its construction began on September 1st, 2008 and it was finished by April 30th, 2009 when it was handed over to GHL the international Hotel operator. This opening will generate 250 direct and indirect new jobs. It has 108 rooms, an event chamber for 300 people and an international restaurant. Conconcreto has a 47-years-old experience in the construction business and has become the manager of many construction complexes that include offices, malls and hotels, not only in the big cities, but also in medium sized cities where it aims to the development of all regions and the whole country. The Project consists of the construction of the North Terminal Dock, the new dock, platforms, Access routes, administration building, remodeling of the facade, and building of the presidential chamber and of the airplane gas distribution system for the new aircraft positions.
